Prof. Xiangyu Wang is a globally renowned scholar and thought leader in civil engineering, construction, and transportation, with a strong focus on pioneeringdigital technologies. He is a Fellow of the EU Academy of Sciences (EUAS) and was named a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate in 2022. Prof. Wang is a prominent figure in the New Infrastructure movement and a key driver of digital transformation across Australia, China, and beyond. He currently holds the position of Professor at Curtin University and serves as the Executive Director of the Civil Infrastructure Smart Construction Research Institute at East China Jiaotong University. Additionally, he is the Founding President of the International Society for Smart Construction and Production (SCP) and director of both the Curtin Advanced Technologies Research and Innovation Alliance (CATRINA) and the Australasian Joint Research Centre for Building Information Modelling. He has previously served as the Australian Research Council (ARC) College of Experts (2016-2018) and as the Curtin-Woodside Chair Professor for Oil, Gas & LNG Construction and Project Management (2013-2018). Prof. Wang’s extensive academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree from Tongji University, aMaster’s degree from the University of Washington, and aPh.D. from Purdue University. Over his distinguished career, he has led more than 60 major research projects globally, securing over AUD 20 million in research funding. His collaborations with industry leaders such as Shell, Woodside, and BHP have resulted in impactful solutions in construction and project management, with a particular emphasis on the practical integration of digital technologies. With over 500 scientific papers published, Prof. Wang’s work has garnered more than 34,000 citations, and he holds an H-index exceeding 100. His research includes 30 highly cited papers and 9 hot papers, as listed by the Web of Science, further highlighting his substantial contributions to his fields of expertise. He has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, and has been consistently ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University.

Paulo C. DE MORAIS, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology– China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010. 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. ProfessorMorais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered about 190 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With more than500 published papers in peer reviewed journals, more than13,000 citations, and 16 patents, He has appeared in recent World ranking of top scientists, such as 2020-Stanford, 2022-Research.com, 2023-AD Scientific Index, and 2023-Research.com.

Professor Raman Singh’s primary research interests are in the relationship of Nano-/microstructure and Environment-assisted degradation and fracture of metallic and composite materials, and Nanotechnology for Advanced Mitigation of such Degradations. He has also worked extensively on use of advanced materials (e.g., graphene) for corrosion mitigation, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion and corrosion-mitigation of magnesium alloys (including for the use of magnesium alloys for aerospace, defence and bioimplant applications). Prof Singhis a senior professor at Monash University, Australia. He is a Guest Professor at ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2020, 2023, 2024), US Naval Research Lab, Indian Institute of Science, and University of Connecticut. He worked as a scientist at Indian Atomic Energy and as a post-doc fellow at University of New South Wales, Australia. Prof Singh’s professional distinctions and recognitions include: Guest Professor of ETH Zurich, Editor of a book on Cracking of Welds (CRC Press), Lead Editor of a book on Non-destructive Evaluation of Corrosion (Wiley), Editor-in-Chief of an Elsevier and an MDPI journals, leader/chairperson of a few international conferences and numerous plenary/keynote lectures at international conferences, over 285 peer-reviewed international journal publications and 15 book chapter, and several competitive research grants (that includes 4 Discovery, 7 Linkage and one ITRH grants of Australian Research Council). Prof Singh has supervised 60 PhD students. His vibrant research group at Monash University comprises of PhD students from different disciplines (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials and Mining Engineering, and Science) as well as from different cultural backgrounds (Australian, Middle-eastern, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, African, North American and Israeli).

Prof. Alessio Cascardi is an esteemed academic and researcher in the field of Civil Engineering, currently serving as a faculty member at the University of Calabria, Italy. He is widely recognized for his significant contributions to the areas of structural engineering, particularly in the conservation and rehabilitation of historical and contemporary buildings. His work largely focuses on the use of advanced materials, such as high-performance composites, to strengthen and repair structures made of masonry and reinforced concrete. With over 60 publications in prestigious international journals, Prof. Cascardi has made impactful contributions to the scientific community. His research addresses the pressing challenges related to infrastructure durability and seismic vulnerability, offering innovative solutions through the application of cutting-edge technologies in construction materials and methods. He has worked extensively on fabric reinforced cementitious mortar (FRCM) systems, which are used to improve the resilience of buildings against natural disasters like earthquakes. Prof. Cascardi is also an active member of several international scientific committees, contributing to the advancement of standards and best practices in the field of structural strengthening and rehabilitation. His work is not only theoretical but also practical, having collaborated with industry professionals to implement his research findings in real-world scenarios. His academic leadership, dedication to research, and active involvement in the global civil engineering community have established him as a key figure in the development of innovative solutions for infrastructure preservation and safety
