Dr. Ruan’s research focuses on renewable energy and environment technologies for sustainable development and circular economy. Specifically, he has conducted research and published his findings in the areas of biomass and solid wastes such as plastic wastes pyrolysis and gasification for chemicals, materials, fuels and energy production, municipal, agricultural, and industrial wastewater treatment and utilization through novel anaerobic digestion, microalgae cultivation, and hydroponics, airborne and other pathogen disinfection and pollutant control, innovative catalytic non-thermal plasma, low temperature microwave and pulse microwave, photocatalytic intensive pulse light, and NMR/MRI technologies research, development and applications in nitrogen fixation, food safety assurance, and food quality improvement, and food engineering and various value-added processing, etc. Dr. Ruan is a Fellow of ASABE and a Fellow of IFT, and a top-cited author with an h-index of 69, i10-index of 303, and over 19,000 citations.

Nazeeruddin is a Professor of Chemistry at the EPFL Sion campus, and his current research at EPFL focuses on Perovskite Solar Cells and Light-emitting diodes. He has published more than 800 peer-reviewed papers, ten book chapters, and he is the inventor/co-inventor of over 90 patents. His work's high impact has been recognized by invitations to speak at over 350 international conferences. He appeared in the ISI listing of most cited chemists and has more than 160'335 citations with an h-index of 176 (https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=j4rH8MkAAAAJ). He teaches the "Functional Materials" course at EPFL and Korea University. According to the Web of Science in 2016, he is the 5th most cited chemist in the world and is one of the 19 scientists identified by Thomson Reuters as the World's Most Influential Scientific Minds in 2015. He has been named Thomson Reuters "Highly Cited Researcher" from 2014 to 2021 and listed among the Top 10 researchers in the perovskite solar cell research field by the Times Higher Education. He is directing and managing several industrial, national, and European Union projects. He has been appointed as World Class University professor by Korea University and Adjunct Professor by King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. He has been elected to the European Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of The Royal Society of Chemistry, and a Fellow of the Telangana Academy of Sciences. After having gained his BSc and PhD degrees from Imperial College (London) and performing post-doctoral research at the University of Texas at Austin, Barron spent eight years as a Professor of Chemistry at Harvard University before moving to Rice University in 1995 where he is the Welch Chair of Chemistry and Professor of Nanoengineering and Materials Science. In 2014 he was appointed the Sêr Cymru Chair of Low Carbon Energy and Environment at Swansea University, and founded the Energy Safety Research Institute, where he is the Director. He is the author of over 550 publications, 40 Patents, 15 books, and has graduated 30 PhD students. His current research involves the application of chemistry, nanotechnology and materials science to fundamental problems in energy, the environment and decarbonization, as well as changing how academia needs to work to ensure real-world impact. Prof. Barron is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the recipient of several awards, including the Star of Asia International Award, the Hümboldt Senior Scientist Research Award, and the first Welch Foundation Norman Hackerman Award. In 2009 Barron was appointed as the Prince of Wales Visiting Innovator. In 2011 he won both the Lifetime Achievement Award in Nanotechnology and the World Technology Award (in Materials). Barron is the co-founder of several companies over a diverse range of industries. His two latest commercialization ventures are technologies for water purification of produced water and an anti-viral mask for the COVID crisis. In addition to teaching in chemistry and materials science, Prof. Barron created the first educational programs at Rice University to span the schools of Science, Engineering and Management. Professor Z.Y. Dong obtained Ph.D. from the University of Sydney, Australia. He is currently Professor of Power Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singpaore. He is co-founder and a nonexecutive director of CAFEA Smart City Limited, Hong Kong. His previous roles include SHARP Professor of Energy Systems at the University of NSW, Sydney, Australia, Professor and Head of School of Electrical and Information Engineering, the University of Sydney, Australia. He was inaugural director of the University of NSW’s Digital Grid Futures Institute, lead PI and Director of Australian Research Council Research Hub for Integrated Energy Storage Solutions, Ausgrid Chair and Director of the Ausgrid Centre for Intelligent Electricity Networks (CIEN) providing R&D support for the Smart Grid, Smart City national demonstration project of Australia. He also worked as manager of a state transmission network service provider in Australia responsible for transmission system planning. His research interest includes smart grid and smart cities, power system planning, power system dynamics and stability, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and electricity market. He has also been working as editor/associate editor for a number of IEEE transactions and IET journals. He is Fellow of IEEE.

Elvidge pioneered the development of global satellite derived nighttime lights and lead the production of a twenty-one year time series of global DMSP nighttime lights (1992- 2013). His nighttime lights from DMSP and VIIRS are now a widely used satellite data product in a diverse range of fields, ranging from biology, urban sciences, economics, and astronomy. Elvidge was instrumental in establishing the DMSP digital archive at NOAA and lead the media migration that rescued the digital records from aging tapes. In 2012 Elvidge conceived of and lead the development of the VIIRS nightfire (VNF) product using a combination of near-infrared, shortwave infrared and mid-wave infrared channels. VNF uses physical laws to calculate the temperature, source area, and radiant heat of combustion sources. VNF is the only global fire product reporting temperature and source area on 24-hour increments. The inclusion of SWIR bands results in an ability to construct global surveys of gas flaring sites and estimate flared gas volumes. Approximately 12,000 flaring sites are identified worldwide every year by Elvidge’s team. In 2014, Elvidge developed methods for discriminating flaming and smoldering combustion using nighttime Landsat data. This distinction is significant for modelling smoke production. Also in 2014, Elvidge developed a nighttime boat detection product for VIIRS. Elvidge has been actively publishing since 1978 and has 230 published papers. Professor Ding is founding Chamberlain Chair of Chemical Engineering and founding Director of University of Birmingham Centre for Energy Storage. His research has been on energy materials and processes. He has published 550+ technical papers with 450+ in peer-reviewed journals (GS H-Index ~80) and filed 100+ patents. He currently serves on Molten Salts Advisory Group of UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Royal Society Net Zero Panel and IChemE Publication Medal Assessment Panel, and recently led a Royal Society briefing note on heating and cooling in Climate Change: Science and Solutions.He invented liquid air energy storage technology and led the initial stage of technology developments (commercialised by Highview Power). He developed composite phase change materials for thermal energy storage and associated large-scale manufacture technologies, leading to large scale commercial applications with a total installation of >300MW / >1.5GWh so far (Jinhe Energy). His work on passively cooled container technology has been on large scale commercial demonstration for cold chain applications (CRRC). His work has been recognised by the election to Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering (2020);IChemE Clean Energy Medal (2021); IChemE Global Awards in three categories of Energy, Research Project and Outstanding Achievement (2019); Distinguished Energy Storage Individual Award (Beijing International Energy Storage and Expo, 2018); and Energy & Environment Award and Technology and Innovation Grand Prix Award (‘The Engineer’, 2011).He is an associate editor of Energy Storage and Saving (Elsevier) and Discovery Energy (Springer), and serves on editorial boards Journals of Energy Storage (Wiley), Thermal Science (Springer), and Particuology (Elsevier).

Dr. Gupta joined Pittsburg State University in the spring of 2013. Before joining Pittsburg State University, he worked as an Assistant Research Professor at Missouri State University, Springfield, MO, then as a Senior Research Scientist at North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC. Dr. Gupta is serving as an Associate Editor and reviewer for several leading science journals. His research focus is in green energy production and storage using nanomaterials, optoelectronics and photovoltaics devices, organic-inorganic hetero-junctions for sensors, nanomagnetism, conducting polymers and composites as well as bio-based polymers, bio-compatible nanofibers for tissue regeneration, scaffold and antibacterial applications and bio-degradable metallic implants. Dr. Gupta has received a number of research grants (over one million dollars) from federal and state agencies such as National Science Foundation (NSF), NSF-Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR), Department of Energy (DoE), Kansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (K-INBRE), State of Kansas Polymer Chemistry Initiative, etc.

Dr. Akira Nishimura is an associate professor in Division of Mechanical Engineering at Mie University, Japan. He received the B.S. Eng., the M.S. Eng. and Dr. Eng. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Nagoya University, Japan in 1995, 1997 and 2000, respectively. He worked at Center for Integrated Research in Science and Engineering, Nagoya University as research associate from 2000 to 2002. He moved to Mie University in 2002 as an assistant professor and promoted to associate professor from 2014. He has published 91 journal papers which are reviewed. His current researches are clarification on heat and mass transfer mechanism of polymer electrolyte fuel cell, CO2 reduction by photocatalyst, H2 production from biogas and smart city utilizing renewable energy actively.

Payman Dehghanian (SM’20) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 2009, the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 2017. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA. His research interests include power system reliability and resilience assessment, data-informed decision-making for maintenance and asset management in electrical systems, and smart electricity grid applications. Dr. Dehghanian is the recipient of the 2013 IEEE Iran Section Best M.Sc. Thesis Award in Electrical Engineering, 2014 and 2015 IEEE Region 5 Outstanding Professional Achievement Awards, the 2015 IEEE-HKN Outstanding Young Professional Award, the 2021 Early Career Award from the Washington Academy of Sciences, the 2022 George Washington University’s Early Career Researcher Award, the 2022 IEEE IAS Electric Safety Committee’s Young Professional Achievement Award, and the 2022 IEEE IAS Outstanding Young Member Service Award. In 2015 and 2016, Dr. Dehghanian was selected among the World’s Top 20 Young Scholars for Next Generation of Researchers in Electric Power Systems.

Pierluigi Siano (M’09–SM'14) received the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information and electrical engineering from the University of Salerno, Salerno, Italy, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He is a Professor and Scientific Director of the Smart Grids and Smart Cities Laboratory with the Department of Management & Innovation Systems, University of Salerno. Since 2021 he has been a Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Science, University of Johannesburg. His research activities are centered on demand response, energy management, the integration of distributed energy resources in smart grids, electricity markets, and planning and management of power systems. In these research fields, he has co-authored more than 700 articles including more than 410 international journals that received in Scopus more than 17000 citations with an H-index equal to 63. In the period 2019-2022 he has been awarded as a Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering by Web of Science Group. He has been the Chair of the IES TC on Smart Grids. He is Editor for the Power & Energy Society Section of IEEE Access, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON POWER SYSTEMS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL INFORMATICS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS, IEEE SYSTEMS.

Kamyar Mehran (M’09, SM’20) is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Electrical Power Engineering at Queen Mary University in London and the director of the Real-Time Power and Control System (RPCS) Laboratory at the school of EECS. He received his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and MSc in Control and Automation from Newcastle University, UK, in 2010 and 2004, respectively. His area of research interests is developing novel control methodologies and condition monitoring systems for islanded DC microgrids, energy storage systems, and Silicon Carbide (SiC)-based power electronics where he published over 80 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications, and several book chapters. He also has an extensive track record in collaborative research projects with totalling £3.64M of external funding as a principal investigator and co-investigator supported by UKRI research councils including Innovate UK, Royal Society, Newton fund, EPSRC and industry. He is a member and reviewer for EPSRC college and serve as an editorial board member for MDPI Energies journal. From 2013 to 2015, he was a research fellow at the University of Warwick, UK, and from 2010-2013 he was a research associate at Newcastle University where he also acted as a commercialisation manager for a Newcastle university spin-off company developing novel opto-electronics for GaN micro-LEDs. Prior to his academic positions, he collected 8 years of industrial experience in the software engineering roles.

Dr. Hadis Karimipour is the Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Secure and Resilient Cyber-Physical Systems, Director of the Smart Cyber-Physical (SCPS) Lab, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Software Engineering at the University of Calgary. Before joining the University of Calgary in July 2021, she was an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph, 2017-2021, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Calgary between 2016-2017. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta in June 2016. She was a recipient of the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II scholarship (2014 and 2015) in support of her Ph.D. research. Dr. Karimipour is among the pioneers of using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine/Deep Learning for security analysis of critical infrastructure. She has published 2 books, 30 journal articles, 24 book chapters, and 30 conference articles in top IEEE journals and conferences. Dr. Karimpour received many awards, including Canada's Top 20 Women in Cybersecurity by ITWorldCanada, APEGA Early Accomplishment Award, and Most Inspiring Women in Cyber Award by IT Security Guru. She has been a keynote/invited speaker for more than 26 different IEEE/International conferences. She was the chair of the IEEE workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Securing Cyber-Physical Systems (AI4SCPS) at IEEE CCECE 2019 and IEEE CyberSciTech 2020 conferences and chair of the special session on Artificial Intelligence for Security of IoT-Enabled Critical Infrastructures at the IEEE SMC 2020 conference. She was the technical committee member/publication chair of IEEE Int. Conf. on Smart Energy Grid Engineering (SEGE2018, 2019, 2020), IEEE Int. Philip W. T. Pong received a B.Eng. from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2002 with 1st class honours. Then he obtained a PhD in engineering at the University of Cambridge in 2005. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Magnetic Materials Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for three years. Currently he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).His research interest focuses on the fault detection, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection of power grid. He is the Founding Director of the Green Technology Research and Training Laboratory, leading the research and education activities of offshore wind energy at NJIT. Philip Pong is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (FInstP), a Fellow of the Energy Institute (FEI), a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM), a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE), a Fellow of the NANOSMAT Society (FNS), a chartered physicist (CPhys), a chartered engineer (CEng), a chartered energy engineer, a registered professional engineer (R.P.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Energy), and a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE). He serves on the editorial boards for several IEEE and SCI journals.

Dr. Jianxiong Zhu is an Associate Professor from Southeast University, China. He received d Ph.D. from the University of Missouri Columbia in 2015. After that, he worked as an assistant professor atthe Beijing institute of Nanoenergy and Nanaosysem. He also worked as a postdoc at KAIST, Korea, and the National University of Singapore for several years. He has published over 50 peer review papers and the IF over 10 is 15. He is also on the youth editorial board for 5 journals. His research interests are focused on a gas sensor, wearable flexible sensor, and hydrogen sensing based on particles.

KARAR MAHMOUD (Senior Member, IEEE) received a Ph.D. degree from the Electric Power and Energy System Laboratory (EPESL), Graduate School of Engineering, Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, Japan, in 2016. Lehtonen, School of Electrical Engineering, Aalto University, Finland. His research interests include power systems, energy storage, electrical vehicles, renewable energy, smart grids, and applied machine learning. He has published many advanced scientific papers, including more than 100 scientific papers, in several high-level publishing houses, including scientific journals, international conferences, and scientific book chapters. He holds the position of topic editor in 4 classified scientific journals, in addition to being a guest editor for 3 special scientific publications on advanced scientific engineering topics. He has awarded the Prestigious Egyptian State Encouragement Award in the field of engineering sciences in 2021 and was honored by Egypt's Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) for his scientific contributions and achievements as a “distinguished scholar younger than 40.” A number of 14 scientific research papers have been included in the list of the top 1% citations in the engineering field in 2021, and several ones have been included in the list of distinguished research in top-ranked scientific journals.

Jing Wang is a Senior Research Engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where she has worked for the past five years. She received her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from RWTH, Aachen University in 2015. From 2015 to 2017, she worked as a lead power system engineer at GE Grid Solutions in Stafford, UK, and she led multiple microgrid grid automation projects and HVDC system validation projects. Her research focuses on power electronics control of distributed energy resources (DERs), microgrid modeling, protection design, and DER control and integration. She has expertise in power and controller hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) evaluation of microgrid controllers, advanced distribution management system (ADMS), distributed energy resource management system (DERMS) for grid automation and control, and DER integration studies. Especially, she leads the 1 MW multi-vendor demo for the SETO-funded UNIFI consortium.

Patrizia Beraldi is Associate Professor of Operations Research at the University of Calabria (Unical) since 2003. In 2013 she obtained the Italian scientific qualification as Full Professor in Operations Research and in Mathematical Methods for Economics and Finance (in 2018). She got her PhD in Systems Engineering and Computer Science in 2000. She was a research assistant at Unical from 2001 to 2003. In 1999 she was a visiting researcher at the Rutgers Center of Operations Research, USA, and at the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, University of Vancouver, Canada. She was responsible for the Quantitative Finance division at the "Supercomputer Center for Computational Engineering", Unical, in 2006-2009. She is responsible of the Laboratory of Innovation and Management Engineering at Unical. She has been responsible for research and design for several national and international projects. She has been a member of the Scientific Committee of several international conferences and organizer of numerous sessions by invitation. She serves as co-chair of the AIRO Thematic Section of Stochastic Programming. She is an associate editor of important journals, including IMA Journal on Management Mathematics, TOP, Algorithms. She is the author of more than 90 scientific publications in prestigious international journals. Her research activity mainly concerns the definition and solution of mathematical models under uncertainty for the representation of realworld problems that arise in different application domains, mainly related to energy, finance and logistic.

WAQAS UR REHMAN (IEEE S’20) completed his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila Pakistan in 2012. He did his M.Sc. in nuclear power engineering from the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) in 2015. He served Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC)as Sr. Engineer (Electrical) for four years. He completed his 2ndM.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, specialization in power systems engineering, from UET Taxila Pakistan in 2017. He worked at Tesla Inc. as a Commercial Energy Design intern during the Fall-2021 semester. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at Missouri University of Science and Technology, USA. He is a recipient of the Best Conference Paper Award and the Second Prize in the graduate poster competition at the IEEE PES General Meeting, USA 2021. His current research interests include sizing, siting, and energy management of extreme fast charging (XFC) stations for EVs, the impact analysis of XFC stations on the AC grid’s power quality, energy storage system optimization and control, and machine learning applications in power systems.

Kamal Kasmaoui isassistant Professor of Economics at ESC Pau Business School and an Associate Researcher at the Center for the Analysis of Trade and Economic Transitions (CATT), Pau University, France. He specializes in the empirical studies of the development phenomenon. The author holds a Ph.D. (with Distinction) in economics from Pau University. . Satya Paul is currently Honorary Professor at the Centre of Social Research and Methods, ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences. Before joining ANU, he was Professor and Head of School of Economics at the University of the South Pacific, and Professor of Economics at University of Western Sydney. He has been a visiting Professor at several universities such as Concordia, University of New South Wales, Fudan, Ningbo and FASID and a Visiting Fellow at WIDER. In his early and mid-career, he taught at Delhi School of Economics and the Institute of Economic Growth, and serves as Senior Consultant to Indian Planning Commission and the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. He has published four books and a large number of papers on topics such as measurement of efficiency and productivity, trade and public infrastructure policies, poverty, economic inequality, relative deprivation and, unemployment and labour market discrimination, happiness, and quality of life. His publications have appeared in highly ranked international journals such as Journal of Development Economics, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Productivity Analysis, Economics Letters, European Review of Agricultural Economics, Review of Development Economics, Kyklos, Southern Economic Journal, Economic Record, Australian Economic Review, Manchester School, Enery Economics, Australian Economic Review, and Economic Modelling. Professor Paul has also keen interest in public policy issues. He also wrote Fiji Employment Policy- A Draft Framework, which after public consultation was adopted as the first official Employment Policy to guide employment generation. Nadia M. Eshra is a Power and Energy Professor at the National Water Research Center, and a head of hydropower unit, Nile research Institute, where she has worked from 1992 until now. Dr Ianakiev is a Professor in Sustainable Energy Systems at School of Architecture, Design and Built Environment. He teaches Engineering Maths and Individual Project modules to undergraduate and Advanced Construction Materials and Finite Element Method modules to Postgraduate Civil Engineering students. At present, Professor Ianakiev is leading Nottingham Trent University participation in the REMOURBAN H2020 Smart Cities and Communities project (2015-2020). The project aims at the development and validation in three lighthouse cities (Nottingham, Valladolid, Eskisehir) of a sustainable urban regeneration model that leverages the convergence area of the energy, mobility and ICT sectors in order to accelerate the deployment of innovative technologies to significantly increase energy efficiency, improve sustainability of urban transport and reduce gas emissions in urban areas. He is the Principal Investigator in H2020 Marie Curie Actions zEPHYR project - Towards a more efficient exploitation of on-shore and urban wind energy resources. The project will look into developing more optimal means of arranging a cluster of vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT) in an urban environment (such as urban rooftops) and integrating them into the existing structures. Vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT) are seen as the optimal option for the urban environment due to their lower noise emissions and their adaptability for varying wind directions, which are typical in the built environment. VAWTs do not need to be controlled into the wind direction to be effective, which is a key advantage considering the unsteady dynamics of urban wind flow.

Before joining CQU, he was a Marie Curie Individual Fellow at Control and Power (CAP) Research Group, Imperial College London, United Kingdom. He also worked as a research scientist at the Rolls Royce@NTU Corporate Lab at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He received Ph.D degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and Bachelor's degree from Wuhan University in China. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Young Scholars of the National Natural Science Foundation of China 2021 and the European Commission Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship 2020. He has published 70 peer-reviewed papers in quality journals and conferences, including 35 IEEE Transactions. He has led and participated in projects of microgrids, power systems, and energy storage systems from China, Singapore and UK. He serves as associate editor of IET Generation, Transmission Distribution, IET Renewable Power Generation. Besides, he works as the Technical Committee Secretary of IEEE PES Task Force on Cloud-Based Control and Co-Simulation of Multi-Party Resources and IEEE PES Task Force on Networked Microgrid in Energy Internet. His research interest includes microgrid control and stability, power system operation and control, and artificial intelligence in smart grid.

Youwang Huang is an associate professor at the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Hebei University of Technology. He received his Ph.D degree in mechanicalengineering Beijing Jiaotong University in 2019. From October 2019 to March 2022, He acted as a postdoc in Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After that, he joined in Hebei University of Technology. His research interests focus on high-value conversions of biomass and other solid wastes. Currently, the focus of his research is efficient& green preparation, technoeconomicevaluation and LCA analysis of bio-liquid fuels including sustainable aviation fuels and biodiesel from lignocellulosic biomass. He acted asa member of China teamin IC4 (BIOFUELS) MISSION INNOVATION (Global multilateral cooperation mechanism), and a speaker of "Biomass Preparation of Bio-Aviation Fuel Co-production High-value Chemicals" at Ministry of Science and Technology Exhibition Area in China International High-tech Fair in 2020.

My name is SEHILI Youcef, and I was born on 27/27/1995 in Algeria. In 2020, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently, I pursued a Master's degree specializing in preliminary and optimal design of turbochargers for transportation vehicles. Currently, I am in France for my doctoral thesis, which primarily focuses on the modeling of combustion in internal combustion engines. My research aims to optimize performance and reduce pollutant emissions by exploring the use of different types of alternative fuels.

Bronislav Chramcov studied automatization and control technology at the Faculty of Technology in Zlin of the University of Technology in Brno and he took his degree in 1998. In 2006 he graduated his doctoral degree from the Faculty of Applied Informatics of Thomas Bata University in Zlin. His doctoral thesis was focused on the utilization of time series prediction for control of technological process. He is working now as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Applied Informatics of Thomas Bata University in Zlin and he holds the position of Vice Dean for Research, Development and Doctoral Studies there. His research activities are focused on control algorithms for district heating systems, time series forecast in energy or discrete event systems simulation.

Dr. Selçuk studied Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Amasya University, Türkiye and graduated as MS in 2014. He received his BSc degree from the Energy Division of Mechanical Engineering Department at Erciyes University in 2011. He graduated with his MSc degree in 2014 from the Institute of Natural Science Energy System Engineering Department at Erciyes University. He received his PhD degree in 2019 from the Institute of Natural Science Energy Division of Mechanical Engineering Department. He obtained the position of an Associate Professor degree in 2022 at Amasya University. He studied alternative fuels such as biodiesel, alcohols (methanol and butanol), hydrogen in the internal combustion engine, i.e. diesel engine and spark ignition engine. Besides, he studied also fuel cells, especially solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). His research interests are as follows: Alternative fuels, fuel additives such as nano additives, oxy fuels, fuels improver and also internal combustion engine, diesel engine, biodiesel, spark-ignition engine, engine performance, combustion analysis, exhaust emissions, lifecycle-based analysis,energy, exergy, thermoecologic,exergoeconomic,exergoenvironmental, thermoeconomic, environmental, enviroeconomic and sustainability analyses, biofuels, biomass, environmental pollution cost analysis, environment effects, enviro-economic analysis, and fuel cells. He has published more than 47 academic studies such as article in SCI(E) journals, national patent,book chapters, conference papers etc.

Chaohui ZHAO, doctor/Professor, doctoral supervisor. In 2008, he graduated from the automation School of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics with a doctor's degree in engineering. From 2013 to 2014, he was a senior visiting scholar at The Florida Institute of technology. Currently, he is the vice chairman of the special committee of micro and special motors of the Chinese Institute of electrical technology, themember of small and medium-sized electrical machinery special committee of China Electrotechnical Society, The vice president of Shanghai Motor Industry Association, Editorial board member of " Electric Machines and Control Application",and other journals.The main research direction is motor and electric appliance, power electronics and power transmission. In recent years, he has presided over many national scientific research projects, published more than 10 books, published more than 130 papers, authorized more than 20 patents, won 3 national and provincial teaching achievements, and won 4 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards. Qiushi Cui is an Associate Professor in Chongqing University, China. He earned his M.Sc. degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, and the Ph.D. degree from McGill University, both in Electric Engineering. He was working as a postdoctoral researcher at Arizona State University (ASU) and served as the Associate Director of Machine Learning Laboratory for Power Systems in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering of the same university. Prior to joining ASU, he was a Research Engineer at OPAL-RT Technologies Inc. Dr. Cui has won three Best Paper Awards from UK, China, and the USA, all ranking the first. He was the winner of the Chunhui Cup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas Chinese Scholars in the Energy Sector in 2018. Dr. Cui received the Postdoctoral Research Scholarship from both Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Québec Research Fund - Nature and Technology (FRQNT) and held the MITACS Accelerate Research Program Fellowship from Canada.

Prof. Hanshen Lireceived his B.S.E. degree in Electric Power Engineering and Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 2016, and the M.E. degree in Information, Production and Systems Engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan in 2017, and M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from SJTU in 2019, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), Beijing, China in 2023. Prof. Li has been a researcher at China Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute (EPPEI) since 2023. His research interests include planning and operation of active distribution networks, where Li has published 50+papers with over 200 total citations. He has been an editorial board of Journal of Energy Science and Technology since 2023, and also member of IEEE, IEEJ, CSEE and CES.
