Jieshan Qiu, Cheung-Kong Distinguished Professor of Carbon Science and Chemical Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China. His research encompasses both fundamental and applied aspects of carbon materials and science, with a focus on the methodologies of producing carbon materials for energy storage and conversion, catalysis, and environment protection. He has published 900+ papers in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Mater., Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., PNAS, Nature Commun., ACS Nano, Angew. Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 126; Google Scholar) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has served as a professor at Purdue (2000-2005), Brown (2005-2012), and Northeastern (2012-2021; serving as Chemical Engineering Department Chair from 2012 - 2019) Universities and has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Hebei University of Technology, Saveetha University, Vellore Institute of Technology, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies. Paulo C. DE MORAIS, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology– China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010. 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered 170 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With about500 published papers in peer reviewed journals, more than12,500 citations and 16 patents, he has appeared in recent World ranking of top scientists, such as 2020-Stanford, 2022-Research.com, 2023-AD Scientific Index, and 2023-Research.com.

Professor Vladimir G. Chigrinov is Professor of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1999. He is an Expert in Flat Panel Technology in Russia, recognized by the World Technology Evaluation Centre, 1994, and SID Fellow since 2008. He is an author of 6 books, 31 reviews and book chapters, about 317 journal papers, more than 668 Conference presentations, and 121 patents and patent applications including 36 US patents in the field of liquid crystals since 1974. He got Excellent Research Award of HKUST School of Engineering in 2012. He obtained Gold Medal and The Best Award in the Invention & Innovation Awards 2014 held at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2014, which was hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 20-22 Feb 2014. Professor Raman Singh’s primary research interests are in the relationship of Nano-/microstructure and Environment-assisted degradation and fracture of metallic and composite materials, and Nanotechnology for Advanced Mitigation of such Degradations. He has also worked extensively on use of advanced materials (e.g., graphene) for corrosion mitigation, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion and corrosion-mitigation of magnesium alloys (including for the use of magnesium alloys for aerospace, defence and bioimplant applications). Prof Singhis a senior professor at Monash University, Australia. He is a Guest Professor at ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2020, 2023, 2024), US Naval Research Lab, Indian Institute of Science, and University of Connecticut. He worked as a scientist at Indian Atomic Energy and as a post-doc fellow at University of New South Wales, Australia. Prof Singh’s professional distinctions and recognitions include: Guest Professor of ETH Zurich, Editor of a book on Cracking of Welds (CRC Press), Lead Editor of a book on Non-destructive Evaluation of Corrosion (Wiley), Editor-in-Chief of an Elsevier and an MDPI journals, leader/chairperson of a few international conferences and numerous plenary/keynote lectures at international conferences, over 285 peer-reviewed international journal publications and 15 book chapter, and several competitive research grants (that includes 4 Discovery, 7 Linkage and one ITRH grants of Australian Research Council). Prof Singh has supervised 60 PhD students. His vibrant research group at Monash University comprises of PhD students from different disciplines (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials and Mining Engineering, and Science) as well as from different cultural backgrounds (Australian, Middle-eastern, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, African, North American and Israeli).

César Augusto Correia de Sequeira was born in Peso da Régua, Portugal, in 1943. On graduation in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon in 1968 (7-year course) he was invited to join the staff of Instituto Superior Técnico as Lecturer (“assistente”). One year later he was invited to serve as Reader (“regente”) of Electrochemistry, Electrometallurgy and Electrothermy (one year course), for the 6th year students of chemical and electrotechnical engineering. In 1971 he started high temperature chemistry research in the Nuffield Research Group at Imperial College, obtaining a DIC (Diploma of Imperial College) in 1972 and a PhD from London University in October 1974. In the same year he returned to Lisbon and joined the University teaching staff, where he has been teaching and supervising research (at undergraduate, MSc and PhD levels) for more than 50 years. In 1976, jointly with the Dean of the University of Lisbon, he established the CECUL (Centre of Electrochemistry and Kinetics of the University of Lisbon). He spent one year (1982) with the Materials Development Division of the Atomic Research Establishment (Harwell, U.K.), where he performed a fruitful research work on the development of all solid-state polymer-based lithium cells.. He was also Invited Professor at the University of Utah, UMIST (UK), Univ. of Reading (UK), Univ. of Iserlohn (Germany), and Univ. of Arizona (USA). He has directed several international projects on electrochemistry which were financed by the European Union. He is author/co-author of over 650 technical publications. He is a member of several renowned international societies, being a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, IOM3, U.K., a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (U.K.), and an Emeritus Member of the Electrochemical Society (U.S.A.). Recently, he continues au IST as retired professor, coordinating the Materials Electrochemistry Group (MEG-IST, University of Lisbon).

Artur J. da Silva earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil (2019-2023). Currently, he is enrolled in a master’s degree in the Postgraduate Program in Biology Applied to Health at the Keizo Asami Institute, working in the Neuroimmunogenetics Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Priscila Gubert, funded by the CAPES Foundation (2024-present). Additionally, he provides scientific consultancy services to Victus Centro de Medicina Integrada Ltda for new drug development. His expertise lies in the Biochemistry and Molecular Sciences studies, focusing on Structural Bioinformatics and Proteomics.

Prof. Mineo Hiramatsu received Ph.D. from Nagoya University, Japan in 1987 and is a Full Professor of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Meijo University, Japan since 2006. He served as the Director of The Japan Society of Applied Physics. His main fields of research are plasma diagnostics and plasma processing for the synthesis of thin films and nanostructured materials. He was awarded the Japan Society of Applied Physics Fellow in 2017.

Dr. GökhanSürücü received his Ph.D. from the Physics Department of the Institute of Science at Gazi University. He is currently a faculty member of the Department of Energy Systems Engineering at Gazi University. His research focuses on both theoretical and experimental investigations to determine the fundamental physical properties of functional materials in energy applications. Dr. Sürücü is a leading researcher in Computational Materials Science, with significant contributions to the fields of solar cells, hydrogen energy, topological materials, and energy applications. His current work involves exploring materials with varying topological properties for the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER), aiming to enhance efficiency and sustainability in energy systems. He collaborates extensively with national and international research groups to uncover the detailed properties of these advanced materials. Dr. Sürücü has published numerous papers in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at several prestigious international conferences. He has also been invited to deliver keynote speeches and plenary talks at various scientific forums worldwide. His work has garnered significant recognition, and he continues to contribute to the advancement of energy systems engineering through his innovative research and collaborative efforts.

Prof. Ahmed Abd El-Moneim, received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Faculty of Science, Cairo University. Prof. El-Moneim received his Ph.D. degree from Faculty of Engineering, Tohoku University, Japan, after which he appointed as an assistant Professor at Institute of Materials Research (IMR), Tohoku University. Then he received a Post Doc scholarship and visiting research fellow at Tohoku institute of technology (TIT), Japan and Institute for Solid state and Materials Research (IFW) Germany, successfully. Prof. El-Moneim is the founding chairperson of Materials Science and Engineering Department, Faculty of Innovative Design and Engineering, at Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Alexandria, Egypt, during period 2010-2018. Dean of Basic and Applied Sciences Institute, E-JUST during the period of 2018-tillnow. He is also currently founding Director of Graphene Center of Excellence for Energy and Electronic Applications (GCEE), E-JUST. His research is focusing on; i) synthesis, characterization and application of nanomaterials- based on graphene and MOF for liquid and Green hydrogen fuel production. ii) 2D and 3D printing of wearable electronics. Professor Abd El-Moneim holds 3 US + 1 JP registered patents, 8 filled Egy., Patents and authored 197 International per-reviewed journal and conference publications. Supervised/Supervising 57 M.Sc. and Ph.D. national and international students. PI/Co-PI/member of 19 running and concluded research projects in collaboration with Egyptian Industries and academia in USA, Japan and Germany.

I am a Postdoctoral fellow in Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science. I completed my PhD degree in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in applied and computational mathematics under the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme. Here, I focused on the solution of nonlinear PDE’s by finite element method obtained from compressible flow of Newtonian as well as non-Newtonian fluids under the supervision of Prof. Jun Zou. During the PhD, Also, I awarded the OeAD fellowship from the Austria Government for 9th month academic exchange program to the University of Graz. In this program I worked with Prof. Gundolf Haase. I have obtained my master’s degree (MPhil) in applied Mathematics from Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan under the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund Fellowship. In this duration, I worked in Fluid Mechanics under the supervision of Prof. Tasawar Hayat. I have obtained my undergraduate degree (BS Hons. 4-Year) in Mathematics, from the Department of Mathematics, University of Malakand, Pakistan. In this study, I secured the Merit Certificate and Gold Medal. In my overall research career, I have published several research articles in well reputed international journals.

Dr. Satoru Ichinokura is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Tokyo Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2016. His research focuses on condensed matter physics, specifically low-dimensional superconductors. He has authored several high-impact papers in journals such as Physical Review Letters and ACS Nano, and has been honored with awards like the Springer Thesis Award and recognition from the Japan Physical Society. His contributions include significant work on calcium-intercalated bilayer graphene and ultra-thin film superconductivity, establishing him as a prominent figure in the study of low-dimensional quantum systems.

Dr. Mohamed Khayet is director of the University Complutense of Madrid (UCM) Research Group “Membranes and Renewable Energies (MER)” and Professor (Applied Physics Area) at the Faculty of Physical Sciences (UCM) (Department of Structure of Matter, Thermal Physics and Electronics). He got his Ph.D. (1997) in Physical Sciences and he realized various research stays in international institutions (Industrial Membrane Research Institute in Ottawa, Canada; Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology in Warsaw, Poland; Centre for Clean Water Technologies at the University of Nottingham in UK; Singapore Membrane Technology Centre and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Yale University in New Haven, USA; University of California Berkeley in USA, etc.). Among other grants, he got the Fulbright Grant (2019).He is an expert in the field of membrane science, nanotechnology and renewable energies. He has coordinated various national and international projects funded by different institutions (European Union, Middle East Desalination Research Centre, Spanish Ministries; Companies such as Abengoa, etc.) on membranes and modules engineering for different separation processes.
